You can ride around the lake and enjoy the scenery or from the reservoir advanced riders can continue on any of the several connecting trails. From SonoraTake Hwy 108 past Twain Harte. Left on Confidence South Fork Rd. Just past Sugarpine Rd. and on the right is a gate, go through the gate and ride along the ditch road.
Cedar Ridge: 7miles each way. Beginner to Moderate. From Sonora take Hwy 108 to Twain Harte Dr. to Joaquin Gully, then to Mt. Elizabeth Rd. The bike road is a ditch road that crosses Mt. Elizabeth Rd. Turn left onto the ditch. For a more difficult and longer ride stay on Mt. Elizabeth Rd.
Hammill Canyon: Beginner to Moderate. An 11 mile loop through the canyon around the reservoir. Beautiful scenery with moderate climbs around Herring Creek Reservoir.
